A brand new pack for IK’s cutting edge new software. This pack exclusively contains direct models, with my own choices for a matching IR. Of course, the benefit of amp only models is you can use any IR (or even Amplitube’s VIR module) to fine tune the tone to whatever you like.

The pack contains 18 captures from some of my favourite amplifiers, captured on advanced mode for the highest accuracy and detail. These are some of the most desirable amplifiers and circuits from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s.

You can find free examples on ToneNet - search for user “MirrorProfiles” to try them out! It’s not possible to load presets with an IR included, so these presets give you a huge advantage over the free examples online. Plus they’re curated into a bundle to save you digging around an ever growing list of varying consistency.

Amplifiers include:

  • Marshall JMP 2203 with a Legendary Tones Hot Mod (and stock)
  • Marshall Vintage Modern 50W 2266
  • Marshall Jubilee 2554
  • Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Revision G
  • Marshall JMP 2104 50W (2204 combo)
  • Friedman BE100
  • Peavey 5150 Block Letter
  • Peavey VTM120
  • Diezel Herbert Mark 1
  • Mesa Boogie Mark III Black Strip
  • Krank Revolution Series 1

Cabinet IR's from:

  • Mesa Boogie Oversized 2005 V30
  • Mesa Boogie Oversized 2002 V30
  • Mesa Boogie Oversized 1999 V30
  • Mesa Boogie Traditional 2003 V30
  • EVH 412 G12EVH
  • Marshall 1960BV

I suggest either turning your DI signal up loud, or using a gain plugin before ToneX or Amplitube. For some reason IK calibrated their software to work accurately with a loud signal rather than one with plenty of headroom. The gain knob in ToneX can also be used to find the sweet spot for distortion.

Sharing or reselling of these packs is strictly prohibited - licence to use the IR's is limited only to the customer.

those 5150!!!

That sounds amazing! i've set those 5150 profiles with my own IR, the IR that i'm used to for high gain tone (Mesa 412 Rect), and once you set correctly the volume that hits the input of Tonex, with a DI signal that has to be tonally and dynamically right, what you get is just amazing. My DI feeds a od808 which feeds Tonex. One of the best 5150 Block Letter on the amp sim realm!

Perfect

Out of any profiles out there these are the best. I can’t stress how good they are, dialling in tones like my favourite albums is so easy and accurate. All I want to say is we need more haha, maybe a bogner uberchall, mesa mark iv or iic+ because the fact you got the dual rectifier perfect I honest think your the only person who can get these amps right! Do yourself a favour and buy these!

Thank you! I love reading reviews like this. I have a killer Bogner Uberschall so there will ToneX models coming soon I also have a Mark III black dot/no stripe (and a Mesa Studio Preamp modded to IIC+ specs). I’ll get some more ToneX packs made asap, at the moment I can make NAM packs much quicker so that’s why there’s a bit more choice there right now.

loving the tones

I was quickly able to dial in some great sounds. I am going to pull the trigger on the Herbert pack as that is where I keep heading towards.

cool but not quite there

cool sounding profile but i would have love to have more mark iii profile with all the the pull push combination available ...
speacially lead 1& 2 with the lead pull bright .. maybe can update for us customers?

Thanks for the review and I’m sorry it did not meet your expectations for 5*. The presets take a long time to create, so I really believe they offer great value when you mix and match with the included IR’s. My packs get updates with new presets quite regularly, so stay tuned for more.

I think for an amp as versatile as a Mark III, to have every combination of push/pulls and setting would probably be its own pack because it would take a LOT of work. I am sure some presets will be added to this pack in the future though, and I’m always happy to take requests if a customer is after something particular :)
