STINKYFIST - TOOL AENIMA ARTIST TONE MATCH

I'm a huge fan of Tool and they've made some amazing recordings in their time. I actually happen to have a 1976 Super Bass that's modded to Adam Jones's specs (posted by Dave Friedman). The amp is very much in that Super Lead territory - its unbelievably loud and powerful.

The overlooked part to getting these tones right is the cabinet and micing. It took me quite a while to work out what the microphone blend was and which speaker to pair it with. You can buy the Helix Preset below, which includes this IR (mic balance is blended into a single IR).

Absolutely no involvement from Tool or anyone other than myself. You can decide for yourself how close this sounds.

UPDATE: Added a 2nd tone using a different Helix model. Both sound accurate and is just another take on the same sort of thing.
