One of my favourite bands growing up, one of my favourite albums, one of my favourite recordings. Terry Date just knocking it out of the park in this period. 

There's conflicting things written online about whether Stephen Carpenter was using an ADA MP1 or JMP-1 preamp at this point. Presumably through a Marshall power amp and 1960 with V30's but again, going off intuition a little here. 

Helix doesn't have an ADA or JMP-1 emulation so I had to get a little creative with the amp choice - I think it works well though. Micing seems to be fairly standard fare for Terry Date tones, I combined IR's from my WORKHORSE pack to achieve this one.

Bring New Life To Helix Amp Sims!

So close to the real thing! Using Ed's magical gifts with Amp Sims, you can get the most realistic amp tones you have been looking for with digital amps. So amazing, I highly recommend! He really puts in the work, researching the engineers then hours of blending speakers and microphones to give you the best possible Impulse Responses for the preset! I used to not enjoy using Helix, the tones seemed to be dull to me, with Mirror Profile IRs and Presets, it brings new life to my Helix amp sims. Everything opened up and I feel like I am playing a real amp!
